I think it’s fair to say that this place needs an update. Not structurally obviously. After all, this building is a grade I-listed structure and one of the best example of residential modernism in London. Nothing will ever change on that front.
But inside, it looks more ‘country cottage’ than you might expect of an apartment of this type. That’s obviously the current owner’s taste and we aren’t going to get into a discussion about that. But for the modern market, we expect it may well be a little too ‘fussy’. But don’t let that distract you. Decor isn’t the selling point.
As we mentioned above, the idea of living in Highpoint is the big pull here. But more than that. This is a larger three-bedroom apartment, sitting on the ‘coveted’ fifth floor and with a rear-facing aspect. According to the agent, a combination of those latter two factors is rare and such, this is likely to be a sought after apartment regardless of its internal finish.
As we said, lots of space, with those three bedrooms, bathroom, guest WC, a reception room overlooking the rear gardens and a dining room. There is also a garage available, but that is by ’separate negotiation’.
Of course, you do get all the communal facilities too. Those include use of the extensive communal gardens, the tennis courts, the heated outdoor swimming pool and the porterage service. There is also a passenger lift taking you up to your floor. Note that all of that will incur an annual fee, so budget that in before you buy.
