Not the first time we have featured something in this building, which is because an apartment in the 1930s Berthold Lubetkin-designed Highpoint I in London N6 is always popular.
You probably know all about Highpoint, one of the best examples of residential modernism i the capital and as a result, grade I listed by English Heritage.
As a result, apartments that are offered for sale in here tend to have a significant asking price. This one is no exception. But before we come to that, let’s look at the apartment and indeed, the building.
A two / three-bedroom apartment is up for sale right now, which is on the 5th floor of the building and offering ‘exceptional views from both sides’ according to the agent.
As for the living space, you get around 900 sq. ft. of that, which includes a large reception room with original Crittall windows that ‘fold all the way back’ for southerly views towards the City, along with a separate galley kitchen, which has been refurbished.
There are also two double bedrooms with ‘long views over trees to the north’, a modern bathroom and a study / third bedroom to one side of the entrance hall. A utility room completes the apartment layout.
But it doesn’t quite complete what Highpoint I offers.
The building is ‘immaculately maintained’ (as you can see from the images of the communal space inside the building) and has a very comprehensive 24-hour porterage service, lift access, lovely communal gardens with extensive lawns and a climbing frame, as well as residents’ tennis courts and a heated outdoor swimming pool.
There is off-street parking for residents too, but it is on a first-come first-served basis. If you have two wheels, there is a bike shed for you and to cap things off, ‘a sizeable space’ in the basement for storage / keeping the clutter out of your designer apartment.
£975,000 is the asking price. It is worth noting that this place also has a service charge of around £8,240 per year too.
