I’ve spent the last few days enviously looking over the coastal modernism in . This property in Grimaud on the French Riviera in France would fit into that curated collection perfectly.
This is a big money house in a big money location, with more than a touch of the ‘Bond lair’ about it.
Houses of this type with panoramic sea views over the Gulf of St-Tropez obviously don’t come cheap. And those views are amazing. Just imagine waking up to this each morning. In fact, you barely need to stagger out of your bed to take it all in, as the terraces are available from pretty much every room in this house.
Oh and if you get the water bug you don’t need to jump into the sea. Your very own 13m infinity pool awaits you when you need to cool down. Or heat up, as the pool is indeed heated.
So plenty to take in and talk about before we get to the house. But that house is rather special too.
Sadly, we don’t know the architect’s name, but this is a luxury contemporary build with the kind of premium fixtures and fittings you would hope for and expect, with around 500 sq. metres of space over the two levels.
Accommodation includes a ground floor entrance hall with guest cloakroom, a reception room with study, an open plan fully fitted kitchen with a dining area and a pantry with cold room. Also here is a master bedroom with en-suite dressing and full bathroom, another bedroom with en-suite shower room and a laundry.
The ground floor also includes an apartment with independent entrance, which is made up of a reception room with a second kitchen, three bedrooms with en-suite bath or shower rooms and a ‘further room’.
The pool we mentioned earlier, but there are also some extensive terrace spaces to take in the views and top up your tan, along with three ‘lock up’ garages. Because you will be the kind of person who has three expensive cars on the go.
Hard to do this one justice with words as the images really do tell the full story. If the images convince you that the French Riviera is for you, then you will need to dig deep. The house is on the market for £8,286,805.
