I don’t think it’s the best example if its type, but there is a 1960s-built church building in Stoke-In-Trent, Staffordshire on the market.
The building in question is St Paul’s Methodist Church, a purpose-built church which has single storey extensions of entrance vestibules, a church hall and meeting rooms. What is it like inside? We have no idea. That’s down to you booking a viewing.
As for use, it can be used right now for ‘uses such as crèche, day nursery, day centre’ but would need planing permission to turn this into a living space. It sounds like a residential development is the most likely outcome (it is a plot of 0.9 acres), but if you see this as your ‘Grand Design’, that is possible too.
Regardless of what you do with it, the price of this church in a ‘popular residential area’ is on the affordable side. The auction guide is £150,000.
